The Japanese Iris 'Crystal Halo', Iris ensata (kaempferi), is our newest Japanese Iris that is a fantastic angel; deep violet petals surrounded with a white halo that is as pure as sunlight shining through crystal. Japanese Irises grow best planted in full sun with moist, but never stagnant waterIt gets four feet tall, and the flowers have large semi-flaring fails, and standards which are either short and upright, or very large and open, hanging over the falls as a second layer. The resulting flowers have a flat, open form. Bright green foliage. Grows in full sun or light shade in well-drained soil. Constant moisture is necessary.
