The Lachenalia Fransie, 'Hyacinthaceae Fransie', is an unusual member of the Hyacinth family that is a unique early bloomer. Emerging in early spring, Lachenalia is wonderful in the border garden or in containers, excellent for forcing. 'Fransie''s flowers are golden yellow tubes with fiery orange bases. They are hardy zones 9-10, bring indoors in winter in colder regions.
