The Bleeding Heart Specatabilis, 'Dicentra 'specatabilis'�, is a fast-growing perennial with pink, heart-shaped flowers. It is the most common variety in its species. The blooms look wonderful against its grayish foliage. Dicentra 'specatabilis'� has a plant height of 30'� and a width of 20'�. Dicentra should be planted in full sun but will tolerate morning shade. It is heat tolerant and needs moist soil. Do not let it dry out. Dicentra will bloom from May to September and is a major attractor to butterflies. 'Specatabilis'� makes excellent cut flowers, in mass with groundcovers, or in potted containers. Being an old fashioned plant, it is a must in any landscape.
